It is very important if not crucial to your well being to reduce the stress that you experience on a daily basis. While there are some things that you can stop doing to reduce stress, there are several very important things that you can start to do daily that will not only reduce stress but begin to heal the harmful consequences that stress may have been having on your life.
Reducing stress is about becoming conscious of your mind, body and spirit and what you need to do to take care of yourself in these three areas of your life. To work with your mind, body and spirit will bring balance and harmony into your life and with it a reduction of stress. Below are listed twenty practical ways that you can create in your life to reduce your stress.
1. Practice Meditation Daily especially in the morning.
2. Practice Yoga on a daily basis.
3. Make and Say your Graditude List first thing when you wake up.
4. Be sure to Exercise Daily – Get Fit.
5. Eat right through out the day, lunch being your largest meal.
6. Listen to Relaxation Music throughout the day.
7. Practice saying Positive Affirmations especially about yourself especially in the morning and when you go to bed at night.
8. Be of Service to Others at all times during the day.
9. Practice taking full responsibility for everything that you think, say, feel and do.
10. Read and listen to inspirational and spiritual books and cds to help you transform your thinking and eventually your behavior.
11. Watch your word, what you say, and be positive about others and yourself, be conscious of what you are putting out into the world and creating.
12. Practice Deep and Even Breathing throughout the day.
13. Practice Visualization about what you want in life and especially about your future and what you want.
14. Lighten Up – Do not take yourself too seriously.
15. Use organizational skills to help manage your life especially with work.
16. Drink enough water during the day especially early in the morning.
17. Practice forgiveness with respect to yourself and others.
18. Acknowledge your accomplishments especially at the end of the day. Acknowledge the accomplishments of others as well.
19. Practice patience with yourself and others.
20. Get enough rest and especially sleep at night.
