Therapeutic relaxation music enhances the use of Positive Affirmations

The work of Louise Hay has should us the power of using positive affirmations.  Positive affirmations can transform a person’s life.  Using positive affirmations on a daily basis can improve self esteem and confidence.  The use of positive affirmations can also be enhanced by the use of therapeutic relaxation music, especially music that uses binaural audio tones to deepen the state of relaxaton generated by the music.  Using therapeutic relaxation music creates an audio space for the positive affirmations to be presented to the individual in a very powerful way.  When used in this manner the positive affirmations become hypnotic suggestions, suggestions that are designed for changing the person’s life.

Events and experience can create the space for us to develop beliefs that limit us in life.

While I believe that events or experience do not cause a belief to be created, I do believe that they do create the space for us to form or develop a thought or belief that will in turn affect our life and behavior.  For example, while I can not blame my failed marriage and the divorce that took place for being the cause of the failed relationship that I had shortly after my divorce I do believe that the event of the divorce created space for me to think about and perceive relationships and in this case women in a particular way.  From the perception that I formed I acted accordingly, and as a result the relationship that I had after the divorce failed.  Much of what was created was about mistrust which I carried over to my new relationship.  Much of what I carried over I was not aware of, as if it were hidden from me.  My awareness of it is starting to surface with the assistance of counseling.  Hopefully the processing and insight that I will gain from my work will help me to see differently and more adequately.

Facing fear with courage

Fear has a way of running our life.  Fear has a way of stopping us from doing what we want to do and is a barrier to living.  The work is to face the fear, that which we believe is generating the fear, and to move through it, to move into it with courage.  What we fear is that something will happen that will threaten our existence.  Little do we know that the fear, the event that we think is a threat, is threatening our existence and life.  While difficult at times, the only way to fear it is to just confront it directly and to move into that which we fear.

Experiencing fear and obtaining self worth through God

Experiencing and living in fear can stop us in most everything that we try to do or accomplish.  Fear will cripple a person.  What is the origin of fear.  The emotion of fear is like any emotion.  Having emotions is how our body experiences our thinking.  Our thinking creates how we feel.  When we experience fear we are having a thought process going on under the emotion. We believe that we are inadequate somehow, that we are not good enough, good enough to deal with life.  When we experience fear we believe that we are not adequate to handle life.  To transform the emotion of fear will necessitate that we learn how to believe in ourselves, that we create a positive self image.  In my opinion the only true and authentic way for this to happen is through God, through being connected to God, to derive our power from the source of all that is.  It is only though becoming connected with God that we give up our experience of fear.

Relationships impact our present state of being

Who we are being is determined by our beliefs and thoughts.  The barriers and constraints that we create are created in our thinking.  In recovery the disease is in the thinking not the body.  The disease is not only in our thinking but is to be found in our thoughts and beliefs, and more specifically those that we have about ourselves.  What I think of myself at a core level determines my life. While we are responsible for our thinking and the consequences that result from our thoughts and beliefs, the relationships that we have had in our life have had an impact of this process.  In specific, the relationships that we have or do not have with our parents influence and impact upon our thinking process and the specific beliefs and thoughts that get created.  It is in the relationships with our parents that much can be discovered about ourselves and our current way of being.

Thoughts about the process

Learning about ourselves is not only important but crucial to being happy in life.  What I am learning is that much of my life has been lived from the space of fear.  For me my life or living has been much about survival especially in the last few years.  I have tendency to let my emotional state, that of fear, rule me.  I will perceive events in life from that perspective, from the emotional state of fear, and make situations out to be able my survival.  Such a way of living puts me and keeps me on guard, that I have to protect myself, even from those who love and care about me.

Hypertension and being present to your Breath

One way to lower your blood pressure is to become not only present to your breath, your breathing, but to practice slow and deep breathing exercise.  The intention of the practice is to make the exercise apart of your regular breathing pattern.  Such exercises can also enhance your over all well being.  To further the practice of slow and deep breathing a person can utilize therapeutic relaxation music.  The relaxation music will assist a person in creating a space of relaxation, thereby enabling them to be more effective with the practice of breathing.  The end result will be that one can lower both his or her blood pressure but also their daily stress level.

Positive Affirmations can transform!

I believe that who we are or who we are being is merely the words that we have in our mind.  The words or language that exists in our mind defines who we are in the world.  It also guides and determines much of our behavior, what we do in the world, with others and towards ourselves.  If we are to change our state of being, who we have been being, we need to change the words and language that exists in our mind.  One way to do this is through the constant use of positive affirmations.  Many if not all of the individuals in recovery, esp early in recovery, have very negative language or words that make up their daily existence.  Positive affirmations, more specifically, the constant and repetitious use of positive affirmations will change a person’s state of being and actually make a difference in the recovery process for that person.   It is recommended that individuals in recovery explore and start to utilize the technology of positive affirmations.

Contact through Meditation

Music has long been recognized as being very powerful for altering a person’s feelings and emotions.  Therapeutic relaxation music can also be used to enhance and deepen the practice of meditation.  For those in recovery or anyone who wants to practice meditation, therapeutic relaxation music can help with an individual’s practice of making contact, contact perhaps with God, with spirit, with our source.  Making contact through meditation can make the difference in ones transformation.
